  2. A Much Needed Update

I don’t think I’ve had a update in a while. I’m sitting in class so I figured I’d post a bit of information about what is new and happening. Many of you know it’s week 7 of the quarter. Things are starting to wrap-up a bit. I have two oral presentations, one scrapbook and four papers still due to finish up the quarter. Lots of stress but I think everything will get sorted out. I just really need to stay on top of my work. I’ve noticed that towards the end of the quarter I start closing myself off to people. I’m constantly thinking about work that I have to do … some people can just go and hang out with friends and put their academic stuff on hold. I’m always thinking. :-/

Parents and brother are coming up this weekend for Brick City Festival. They are arriving later on Friday and leaving early afternoon Sunday. It will be really good to see them. Activities for the weekend include the Kaleidoscope concert (I’m performing), Honors Banquet and the David Spade comedy act thing. Overall I think it’ll be a good weekend!

I registered for classes this morning. Stupid SIS never told us that registration was moved to 7 AM instead of 6 AM. Doesnt’ matter much. I got on right away and registered then went right back to sleep. Here’s the schedule for next quarter pending I’m here. http://schedule.csh.rit.edu/?s=SPYqgxE …. About next quarter. I have a few companies that are interested in my out on the west coast. There are some pdf and printing projects that they need to get moving, however the financial pull is pretty bad and getting approval to have an intern on board right now isn’t as easy as it could be in the summer. To sum things up, the economy sucks and the few companies that are interested in me are fighting their higher ups to get the money to hire me. I can’t work for free you know :-(

Macworld San Francisco is coming up soon. I’ll know in a few weeks if I’ll be flying out for the week or just driving down for the day or two. It’s an expensive venture but its worth it . . .

Work has been good lately. Dragging a bit since the quarter is still getting off (Apple financial quarter). I really need to start putting in more hours for work. I was talking to Cassandra the other day and between both of us we’re just overworked with school stuff. I’m sure Rick isn’t too happy with us not having the Newsletter completed. Part of me is scared for the Newsletter to be done for the first round of printing. We’ve thought about it so much and worked on it that it has really become my baby. On Friday we have an NTID Open House. I’ll be demoing the new iMac. After that I’m hoping to shoot over to CIAS to maybe demo the iMac over there. Roger (my boss) will be at the NTID event on Friday. Working with him will hopefully boost my spirits a bit and maybe we’ll have some good ideas on what to do for the rest of the quarter.

Social. Still good. Not as much time to hang out with people due to schoolwork. I really have to apologize to some people. I haven’t been purposely blowing you all off, but now that I think about it, it might come across that way. I’ll try to get better and get my work done so I can enjoy my company with y’all. Just don’t hold it to hard against me.

Well, that’s about all. How’s that for an update?

Oh, Ryan is awesome. (I really don’t need any more words than that to sum up the past month and a half.)

    ¡Ciao!
